Carmen Fariña selected as next NYC schools chancellor

De Blasio Reported to Select New Schools Chancellor

NYC Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio announced his choice for Chancellor of the 1.1 million-student New York City school system this morning: Carmen Fariña, a former teacher, principal and Deputy Chancellor for Teaching and Learning under outgoing Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
