Susan Van Zile, a published author with more than 30 years of classroom teaching experience, has a master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum. She currently supervises student teachers at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Additionally, she serves as a Teacher Emeritus for her former school district, where she helps implement project-based learning in the classrooms. Recently she has presented at conferences for the Pennsylvania Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Council of Teachers of English. She is a former Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year and has received the Pennsylvania State University’s Outstanding Graduate Student in Teaching and Curriculum Award. Susan has also authored several professional books for educators, including Writing: A Project-Based Approach.
