Merrianne Dyer's career in education spans over 36 years as a teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Gainesville, GA City Schools until her retirement in 2014. Dr. Dyer then worked with the National Dropout Prevention Center on the South Carolina Priority Schools Project from 2014-2015 and is currently the Lead Consultant for Scholastic’s Learning Supports Project, a division of Scholastic Education’s Professional Learning division.
Dr. Dyer holds an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia and a Ph. D. in Education Policy from Georgia State University. She has published articles for Educational Leadership (ASCD) and School Administrator (AASA) and presents at regional and national conferences.
