Karen Shaffer has spent her career in the development of public and private partnerships, serving in both the government and the nonprofit sectors. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Office of Public, Private Partnerships (OPPP), of the New York City Department of Homeless Services. Shaffer created this office in 2014 to serve as the primary agency liaison in the development and strengthening of partnerships with key leaders in business, government and nonprofits. Shaffer is the recipient of a national award for leadership and innovation in city government and holds a master’s degree in psychology.
